Blood is the taste of blood. The terrible iron smell made manifest and pumped through muscles that are our memories of being strong. Brains are lumps of sugar borrowed, filled with ants, dissolving too quick to taste. Mind is the taste of sweetness on the back of the tongue, back of the heart is kidney, a filter for all the things we can’t see at the end, because it is the end of skin being peeled back so all the medicine can run out into the bed that should have been bloody, but isn’t.
